The Bioparadeis Association understands itself as a Food cooperative.

The basic idea behind the Coop is that individual members pool their shopping lists and buy directly from producers as a group. Reduced costs are not the primary motivation behind the idea, but rather Food Coops are more an expression of criticism on the conventional food production and trading systems.

In keeping with this philosophy, Bioparadeis values:

• Breaking the anonymity between producer and consumer
• Organically grown produce
• Transport routes that are as short as possible
• Support of regional food production
• No division between employees and customers
• Seasonal products
